BRAIDER INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT

Book Me Braids

This Braider Independent Contractor Agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between Book Me Braids and each professional hair braider ("Braider") who uses the Book Me Braids platform.

By applying to, registering with, or providing services through Book Me Braids, you agree to the terms of this Agreement.

1. Independent Contractor Status

Braiders who use Book Me Braids are independent contractors, not employees, partners, agents, or representatives of Book Me Braids.

Nothing in this Agreement creates:

  • An employer employee relationship

  • A partnership

  • A joint venture

  • An agency relationship

Braiders operate their own independent hair braiding businesses and are solely responsible for how services are provided.

2. Scope of Services

Book Me Braids provides an online platform that allows:

  • Clients to find and book professional braiders

  • Braiders to manage availability, pricing, and services

Book Me Braids does not:

  • Supervise braiders

  • Control how services are performed

  • Set braider work schedules

  • Dictate pricing beyond platform guidelines

Braiders are free to accept or decline bookings at their discretion.

3. Braider Responsibilities

Each Braider agrees to:

  • Provide professional, safe, and hygienic braiding services

  • Maintain a clean, calm, and client friendly workspace

  • Accurately represent skills, pricing, and experience

  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws

  • Hold any licenses or permits required in their jurisdiction

  • Perform services personally unless otherwise approved

Braiders are solely responsible for the quality of their work.

4. Vetting and Verification

Book Me Braids may require braiders to submit:

  • Identification documents

  • Photos of their work

  • Business or location information

Vetting is conducted to promote trust and safety but does not guarantee performance or replace braider responsibility.

Book Me Braids reserves the right to approve, suspend, or remove braiders at its discretion.

5. Scheduling and Flexibility

Braiders control:

  • Their working hours

  • Availability

  • Appointment acceptance

The platform supports 24 hour booking availability.
Braiders may choose to work daytime, nighttime, weekends, or any schedule they prefer.

6. Payments and Fees

  • Clients pay through the Book Me Braids platform

  • Braiders receive payment according to the platform payout structure

  • Platform service fees may apply

Braiders are responsible for:

  • All taxes

  • Insurance

  • Business expenses

  • Supplies and tools

Book Me Braids does not withhold taxes or provide benefits.

7. Cancellations and No Shows

Braiders must follow the platform’s cancellation and rescheduling policies.

Repeated cancellations, no shows, or poor client experiences may result in:

  • Reduced visibility

  • Temporary suspension

  • Removal from the platform

8. Client Relationships

Clients booked through Book Me Braids remain clients of the platform for booking purposes.

Braiders may not:

  • Redirect platform clients away from the platform

  • Solicit off platform bookings for the same service

This protects fairness for all users and the integrity of the marketplace.

9. Safety and Liability

Braiders assume full responsibility for:

  • Their workspace

  • Client safety

  • Tools and products used

  • Any injuries, reactions, or damages

Book Me Braids is not liable for:

  • Services performed by braiders

  • Client dissatisfaction

  • Accidents or disputes

Braiders agree to indemnify and hold Book Me Braids harmless from claims arising from their services.

10. Insurance

Braiders are encouraged to maintain appropriate professional liability insurance.

Book Me Braids does not provide insurance coverage.

​

11. Intellectual Property

Braiders retain ownership of their work.

By uploading photos or content to Book Me Braids, braiders grant the platform permission to display this content for marketing and booking purposes.

​

12. Account Suspension or Termination

Book Me Braids may suspend or terminate a braider account if:

  • Terms are violated

  • Misrepresentation occurs

  • Safety concerns arise

  • Fraud or misconduct is suspected

Braiders may also deactivate their account at any time.

​

13. Confidentiality

Braiders must protect client information and may not misuse personal data obtained through the platform.

​

14. Modifications to Agreement

Book Me Braids may update this Agreement. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance.

​

15. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

​
