SAFETY AND WORKSPACE STANDARDS

At Book Me Braids, safety, professionalism, and comfort are non negotiable.
These Safety and Workspace Standards apply to all braiders using the Book Me Braids platform and are designed to protect both clients and professionals.

All braiders listed on Book Me Braids are independent contractors. However, compliance with these standards is required to remain active on the platform.

1. Our Commitment to Safety

Book Me Braids is built on the belief that clients deserve a clean, calm, and professional environment, and braiders deserve a workspace that supports quality work and personal well being.

We vet all braiders before approval and require ongoing compliance with these standards.

2. Approved Braiding Locations

Braiding services must take place in one of the following:

A private home workspace
A private salon suite
A dedicated professional braiding space

The workspace must:

Be indoors
Be clean, organized, and well lit
Allow the client to sit comfortably for the duration of the service
Be free from excessive noise, crowding, or distractions

Outdoor, public, or unsafe locations are not permitted.

3. Cleanliness and Hygiene Standards

All braiders must:

Wash or sanitize hands before each service
Use clean tools, combs, and accessories
Sanitize reusable tools between clients
Use fresh towels or disposable coverings when appropriate
Keep the workspace clean before and after each appointment

Clients have the right to decline service if basic hygiene standards are not met.

4. Client Comfort and Environment

Braiders are expected to provide:

A calm and respectful environment
Reasonable noise levels
A professional atmosphere free from harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior

Clients should never feel rushed, pressured, or unsafe during a session.

5. Health and Safety Expectations

Braiders must:

Decline services that may cause harm due to scalp conditions or infections
Avoid using products known to cause irritation without client consent
Immediately stop a service if a client experiences pain, burning, or discomfort beyond normal tension

Book Me Braids encourages open communication between clients and braiders to ensure safe outcomes.

6. Child Safety

Children receiving services must:

Be supervised by a parent or legal guardian
Be serviced in a safe, age appropriate environment

Braiders must never be left alone with a minor without a guardian present.

7. Verification and Monitoring

As part of our vetting process, braiders may be required to:

Upload valid identification
Submit photos of their workspace
Provide updated information upon request

Book Me Braids reserves the right to request additional verification at any time.

8. Reporting Safety Concerns

Clients and braiders are encouraged to report:

Unsafe environments
Unprofessional conduct
Hygiene concerns
Any situation that compromises safety

Reports can be submitted through the platform or by emailing support@bookmebraids.com.

All reports are reviewed seriously and confidentially.

9. Enforcement and Removal

Failure to comply with these standards may result in:

Temporary suspension
Required corrective actions
Permanent removal from the platform

Book Me Braids reserves the right to remove any braider whose workspace or conduct poses a risk to clients or the platform.

10. Independent Contractor Notice

Braiders on Book Me Braids operate independently and control how they provide their services.
These standards do not create an employment relationship but exist to protect users and uphold platform quality.
